Ten years ago, the Airport Community App was launched with a simple but ambitious goal: to make the daily work of airport teams easier, faster, and more connected. From its first deployment at London Gatwick to its adoption by over 60 international airports today, it has transformed from a single-solution project into a global operational backbone, trusted by 400,000+ users and shaping the way airports communicate and collaborate.

Now, we are proud to share that the Airport Community App has been named Winner of the Skift Idea Awards 2025 in the Industry Innovators: Airlines & Airports category. 

This year’s awards saw a record number of nearly 420 entries, narrowed down to just 28 finalists across all categories. Being selected from such an exceptional pool is a true honour. The winners were chosen by an independent panel of expert judges, each selected for their leadership and perspective across key sectors of the travel and aviation industry. Their recognition affirms the unique value the Airport Community App brings to the operational heart of airports.

The award recognises projects that don’t just solve today’s challenges but actively shape the future of the industry. For us, that future has always been about people.
